Nominations for the Award must be submitted in the required manner on the approved nomination form available on the AIES website.
The winner of the Award will receive a fully sponsored voyage on the STS Young Endeavour, travel insurance and a travel assistance subsidy for travel to and from the port of departure and destination of the STS Young Endeavour for the voyage nominated by the Award Committee.
The Award winner is responsible for arranging own travel to the point of embarkation and from the port of arrival of the STS Young Endeavour at the end of the selected voyage. When booking transport the Award winner must consider the policy of the service provider in case of changes to the time of travel or if it is necessary to cancel the booking.
Total value of the Award will not exceed $4000.
The Award winner is responsible to meet all other costs and charges relevant to their participation and acceptance of the AIES Young Volunteer Award before, during and after the voyage. Should the award winner be unable to undertake the voyage as nominated by the AIES for any reason then the Award will be forfeit.
The Award is not transferable.
Apart from these terms and conditons participants in the Award must meet the minimum standards and conditions set by the Young Endeavour including any medical and physical requirements.
Applicants must not have participated in a voyage with the Young Endeavour Youth Scheme before.
The AIES reserves the right, at their sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this Award.
The AIES reserves the right to amend or modify the terms and conditions of the Award at any time.
The decisions of the Award Committee are final. Details of the winner of the Award will be posted on the AIES website following the final decision of the Award Committee. Only the Award winner will be notified in person all other persons nominated for the Award are to rely on the information posted on the AIES website as to the outcome of their nomination.
By consenting to be nominated for this Award nominees agree to be bound by these conditions and the decisions of the AIES.
