Applications for full membership of the Australian Institute of Emergency Services will be considered from persons who are at least 18 years of age and who:
Are members of a permanent emergency service or
Are volunteer members of emergency or associated services, including the Australian Defence Force or
Admission as a member may be granted if in the opinion of the General Council the applicant meets all other conditions of membership and passes such examination and/or other tests as required by Council.
Applications will also be considered from those who may not meet this criteria for one of our classes of affiliate membership. Details of affiliate membership are outlined below.>

What Does Membership Cost
In these times of high costs of living and working, and as a service to our members, Institute fees are maintained as low as possible so as not to be a financial disincentive.>
Nomination Fee: $20 (To be paid with initial joining fee) Members: $50
Corporate Subscription: $250
Affiliate Membership: $50
We welcome applications from anyone involved in the Emergency Services at home or abroad.>
All applications for membership must be submitted using our online application forms that can be accessed by clicking on the links below.
Payment of the nomination and membership fee must accompany your application. Should an application for membership be unsuccessful the membership fee will be reimbursed. Nomination fees are not refundable.
Please note that all applicants must provide a valid email address in their application. When an application is approved applicants will be immediately notified by email.
